Let's Talk over Coffee....

Name:
Location: Northwest Georgia, United States

I am 36 years old. Happily married in 2000 to a wonderful man who I met on the internet. :o) I have a step-daughter who is soon to be married. I moved from Indiana to Georgia in 2000, talk about your culture shock! I'm by no means perfect, but I am striving to be the woman God would have me to be. Proverbs 31 is my goal, but I am still a work in progress.

    Day After Thanksgiving Shopping

I didn't wander into the mob as many did yesterday morning to do any shopping. Every year I consider it, but usually either chicken out of tackling the mob or just can't drag myself out of bed at 3:30am for something I don't have to do. :o) There are some really good bargains to be had, but you have to be very agressive to get the really good ones. For everyone that did get out into the madness, you are a true shopper.

The extent of my venturing out yesterday was taking my step-daughter shopping for a coat. I was dreading it all day. We have a very different idea of what a coat is, she wants a jacket instead of a coat. If she was wearing warm clothes it would be a little different. The winter clothing styles this year are totally stupid unless you live in a place that is warm year round. Why would you wear a sweater that hangs off of your shoulder and is so thin that you wear a tank top under it. For all practical purposes it is the same as just wearing a tank top, that is not winter clothes! I know that is does not get as cold here as it does in Indiana, but it still gets pretty stinking cold! Clothing is getting skimpier every year, but usually winter is when even those that wear skimpy clothes cover up, not anymore. Well, anyway we ended up finding her a coat very easily. She likes to wear very light weight shirts so I wanted her to get something heavy enough to be warm, but I also understand that she doesn't like bulky coats so I didn't expect her to get something that was really thick. We found a happy medium. :o)
