Let's Talk over Coffee....

Name:
Location: Northwest Georgia, United States

I am 36 years old. Happily married in 2000 to a wonderful man who I met on the internet. :o) I have a step-daughter who is soon to be married. I moved from Indiana to Georgia in 2000, talk about your culture shock! I'm by no means perfect, but I am striving to be the woman God would have me to be. Proverbs 31 is my goal, but I am still a work in progress.

I love this picture of Heather & Byron, they look so relaxed. This was taken in July when we went to Indiana and went out on the pontoon. We had such a good time. I just think they look so cute. :o)

    What a Week!!!

Last week was so busy!! The worst part is that I don't think I accomplished a thing last week for all my busyness and exhaustion. :o( My friend Rachel and I went to the local thrift stores I think 4 days either on lunch or after work. Saturday we went to some of the Hwy 27 Yard Sales and Lee & Gordon's Mill and Mountain City Mercantile in Chickamauga. I can't believe I had never been to the mill. I bought some fresh ground corn meal for my mom & mil, I still have some that I need to use. I found some great bargains: 1.) 3 boxes of embroidery floss that are worth at least $20 each for $5 for all 3. The floss is in beautiful condition and all wound around spools and numbered. 2.) A solid oak baby crib for my porcaline sleeping baby that my grandmother gave me. I got other bargains too, but those were my favorites.
Mountain City Mercantile is a wonderful place to go if you're in the Chickamauga area. The owners are so sweet, I could just eat them up. I have never wanted to really go to a War Re-enactment until I met the Shackleford's. Listening to their stories makes me want to go. Actually September 16th is War Between the States in Chickamauga, I think I'm gonna try to go.

Well, I gotta go try to get some sleep.
