Let's Talk over Coffee....

Location: Northwest Georgia, United States

I am 36 years old. Happily married in 2000 to a wonderful man who I met on the internet. :o) I have a step-daughter who is soon to be married. I moved from Indiana to Georgia in 2000, talk about your culture shock! I'm by no means perfect, but I am striving to be the woman God would have me to be. Proverbs 31 is my goal, but I am still a work in progress.

She tends to get flustered when it gives her trouble and gives up, she stuck with this and did a great job! I hope this shows her that there are a lot of things she can do if she just sticks with it. :o)

    Indiana for the Weekend!

Last weekend we were able to go up and visit my family in Indiana. We had a great visit. Heather drove from just outside Nashville up into Indiana a bit. We all 3 drove, but she drove the longest leg. On Saturday Heather and I went to my mom's beauty shop so she could layer Heather's hair and pierce her ears. My mom also did an Anti-Frizz thing on my hair. When it came time for Heather to get her ears pierced she got a little nervous, she kept asking my mom if she had ever done this before. My mom of course had fun with her and said, "No." :o) They got a gun on each side to pierce both ears at once so she wouldn't chicke out on the second one. When it was done she said it wasn't too bad. The thing she did on my hair is supposed to get rid of frizz permanently, it's a new product she is trying out. It did not get rid of 100% of my frizz, but I can tell a huge difference. The day she did it, we went to the park for a cook out and it was very humid, my hair looked the same when I came in as it did earlier that day. Normally on a humid day I would look like a fuzz ball no matter how much goop I put in my hair. I can't wait to straighten it with my flat iron. I haven't straightened it for a long time because by the end of the day I become a fuzz ball, it doesn't stay straight.
The BBQ at the park was great! I wasn't feeling real good earlier and didn't feel much like eating but had a great time visiting. My mom had invited my uncles, aunts and cousins so that we could see them in the short time that we would be there. Some of them I have not seen since my grandmothers funeral a few years ago. It was noce but I wish it had been longer. :o(
One of my aunts gave me a knitting machine that she said she had been trying to get rid of. It was given to her and she just didn't use it anymore. She said that it probably cost $3,000 new. =:oO It has a bunch of attachments. I can't wait to play with it this weekend!!
It is always so hard to leave. I am thankful that we got to go up for a visit, but sure wish we could go for longer than just a weekend.
