Location: Northwest Georgia, United States

I am 36 years old. Happily married in 2000 to a wonderful man who I met on the internet. :o) I have a step-daughter who is soon to be married. I moved from Indiana to Georgia in 2000, talk about your culture shock! I'm by no means perfect, but I am striving to be the woman God would have me to be. Proverbs 31 is my goal, but I am still a work in progress.

    Heather's Back

Heather arrived back from Oregon last night. Her flight was to arrive in Nashville at 6:35pm. We allowed 3 hours and still cut it close. My hubby was making me really nervous darting around cars on the road. It was probably not as bad as it seemed, but I was so nervous that my heart was racing and I felt nauseous. My husband is wonderful, but when he is under pressure to get somewhere at a certain time, he gets in too big a hurry. Well, he dropped me off at the door about 6:30pm so I could go meet Heather. She did not end up landing until 6:45pm, so we had plenty of time. She was so tired, she hardly said anything. We went to get her bag downstairs, I bet we waited 15-20 minutes. Then another belt started up for two flights that came in quite a bit later than her flight. After a little longer the belt finally started and the luggage started coming around for her flight. Then they announced that the luggage for that flight was on the other belt. So we went over there to wait for her luggage. While we were waiting they instructed two other flights to different belts. The screens above the belts were never changed to reflect the correct flight, it was pretty chaotic. We were able to get Heather's bag without too much trouble after we found the right belt.

When we left the airport we started back to Georgia, looking for 24. We were not sure if we needed 24 East or West so we were looking for the exit sign that said Chattanooga. We were in an area where there was a lot of construction going on, so the signs were not so specific. We did not know which lane we needed to be in until the last minute and could not get back over. We ended up in downtown Nashville. We got to see a bit of Nashville before we found our way back to the right road. :o) Overall I have to say the trip went fairly well, nothing too serious happened. We arrived home about 11:30pm. Today is the first day of school for Heather after Christmas break. I hope it goes well for her. In Oregon they are 3 hours behind us. So, when Heather woke up at 6am this morning it was like getting up at 3am for her.

Tonight Heather will be opening presents again. She has quite a few gifts under the tree from her two grandmas, aunts & uncles.
