Location: Northwest Georgia, United States

I am 36 years old. Happily married in 2000 to a wonderful man who I met on the internet. :o) I have a step-daughter who is soon to be married. I moved from Indiana to Georgia in 2000, talk about your culture shock! I'm by no means perfect, but I am striving to be the woman God would have me to be. Proverbs 31 is my goal, but I am still a work in progress.

    Air!!!

Tuesday night our air conditioner burned up on us. Things weren't too bad that night because it didn't go out until the evening. The next day dh was off work and spent the day working in the yard and then did some running to avoid being in the hot house. He picked me up from work and we went straight to Lowe's for a window unit. After much deliberation we ended up getting 2 small units, one for the living room and one for the bedroom. When we got home it was 91 degrees in the house! I have always lived where there was CHA, this is my first window AC. I have allergies (not as bad as when I was younger though) and asthma so we always has AC. I was totally blown away that those two little window units could cool pretty much the whole house! Our house is fairly small, this is one time when I am thankful that our house is not bigger. :o)

This was really not a good time for this to happen, not that anytime ever is. :o) We are trying to save money for dd's school tuition, dh is going to be laid off for 10 days and we have to make up that money AND have about $300 we need to pay off. I say that not as an invitation to my own little pity party, but to say that God IS good! We all have problems. I know there may be someone reading this that may think, you think YOU have problems? For me right now this is my challenge, along with the challenges of just everyday living. I do not handle pressure well at all and usually get very stressed out by it. I am doing better than I normally do because I keep thinking of Philippians 1:6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform [it] until the day of Jesus Christ. I believe that God is strengthening us. Do I like it? Not necessarily, but I know it is for my benefit. :o)
    GOD is so good!!!!
