I am 36 years old. Happily married in 2000 to a wonderful man who I met on the internet. :o) I have a step-daughter who is soon to be married. I moved from Indiana to Georgia in 2000, talk about your culture shock! I'm by no means perfect, but I am striving to be the woman God would have me to be. Proverbs 31 is my goal, but I am still a work in progress.

    Starting the New Year.

We brought in 2006 in Kokomo, Indiana. We were able to go up to see my family and were able to stay until Tuesday morning. My mom arranged to have a "Christmas" dinner for the family. Not everyone was able to make it because of different family situations, but it was good to see the ones that were able to come. We also got together with Ryan and Mel (Ryan & I graduated High School together) and see their precious little boys. We spent a good bit of the day together, but visiting was limited because of the boys. Not that I'm complaining, they were a lot of fun. I got some great pictures of Jake in his new Chef's hat and apron. He loves to cook! I wouldn't be surprised if we don't see him on the Food Network one day. :o) He was so proud of the pie he made from his own recipe. Not bad for an eight year old.

Well, I don't do New Year Resolutions. I have decided to work at loosing some weight. My first goal is 50 pounds. I started on Thursday, January 7th and have lost 3 pounds. My focus is not so much vanity as it is health. I am very fortunate that I do not have diabetes, high blood pressure or any of that kind of stuff. I just don't feel good. I feel so much better when I exercise and when I am eating better. Byron is trying to eat better too. He doesn't really need to loose weight, he just doesn't eat very healthy. It's hard to do when you are on a tight budget but I'm going to do what I can with what I got. :o)

I'll post a couple pics from Indiana this week with my posts.

Gotta go fix supper - Low Fat Chicken Vegetable Chowder. MMMMM!

You and me both! My goal is 47 lbs. I don't care how long it takes me to lose it, as long as I lose it. I wish I still worked there and we could encourage one another! Good luck! *HUGS*
