I am 36 years old. Happily married in 2000 to a wonderful man who I met on the internet. :o) I have a step-daughter who is soon to be married. I moved from Indiana to Georgia in 2000, talk about your culture shock! I'm by no means perfect, but I am striving to be the woman God would have me to be. Proverbs 31 is my goal, but I am still a work in progress.

    WOOOHOOO!!!

Ok, my wonderful hubby has wanted a chenille bedspread forever (well as long as I've know him) and I haven't been able to find one in our price range that is the kind he wants. It's a memory thing for him, his Aunt had one and he loved it. Well, a lady came in to run an ad for a Yard Sale, she was getting rid of stuff left over from an estate sale. She was talking about what she had and mentioned chenille bedspreads and said they were $12 each!!! OOOOH, that got my attention. I decided I would stop by when I took my step-daughter to school but later realized hubby had to work so I wouldn't have enough time. I called her Wednesday and asked if I could come by and look at them, and she was nice enough to let me come that day. She had several, I picked out one and showed it to my hubby. He said it was just like the one he remembered except his aunt's was white. She gave it to me for $10 instead of $12. I felt like I got quite a bargain. I also got a mortar & pestil (it's green marble!) that I have been wanting for $6, now I need to find something to grind in it. I found one the same size online for $32 with shipping.

Well, today I had to go pick up my step-daughter from school and decided to stop by and see if she still had anymore. I bought another one and some little containers that say Speed-E Freeze. When I got to the car, I decided I wanted another one. I ended up buying three all together (one white and 2 off white) including the one I bought on Wednesday. They are beautiful!!! They are the little nubby ones, not the fuzzy fluffy ones. We slept with the first one we bought last night. My hubby said we needed about 5 more, but that they needed to be bigger because he had to keep pulling it over all night. Usually I am the one fighting for the covers because he is the cover hog. Well, I told him, there was plenty of blanket because I had way more than I needed. I didn't realize I had so much extra. Ooops. :oO

I'm so excited about my finds!! I'm trying to find out now exactly what to do with theSpeed-E Freeze containers.

    Sounds like a great find!
I love old chenille bedspreads. In my son's nursery, I used a damaged white one to recover the upholstery on his glider rocker and ottoman.

Wow! I bet that was GORGEOUS!

I had one of those when I was younger. It was white with pink floers and green leaves on a white background.

Sounds like you got a great dealio!
