I am 36 years old. Happily married in 2000 to a wonderful man who I met on the internet. :o) I have a step-daughter who is soon to be married. I moved from Indiana to Georgia in 2000, talk about your culture shock! I'm by no means perfect, but I am striving to be the woman God would have me to be. Proverbs 31 is my goal, but I am still a work in progress.

    Sourdough Starter

    Sourdough Starter

I think I might try again this weekend. The recipe said to divide it into 3 loaves, I also wonder if I should only divide it into 2. I'll have to ask about that.

I need to get serious about getting this weight off. Baking bread is not exactly conducive to meeting that goal.

Why do you the paper towel in the jar?

I love the potato flakebread that is similar.

To keep gnats out. I was afraid if I put a lid on it the pressure built up. How did you do your starter? Is the potato flakebread the recipe you have on your blog? That's the one I used.

I usually just put the lid on loosely. But I also put it in a container to catch the "ooze."

See I thought you had the lid AND the PT on there! *giggle*
